Cysic Enhances Scroll’s ZK Rollup Efficiency with Advanced Hardware Integration

Date:

Cysic, a leading zero-knowledge (ZK) proof technology provider, is set to accelerate ZK proof generation for Scroll’s Layer 2 network. Through this partnership, Cysic’s advanced hardware and software integration will reduce latency and improve the efficiency of ZK proof generation, boosting the performance of Scroll’s Ethereum-based Layer 2 solution.

Accelerating Layer 2 Scaling
Founded in August 2022, Cysic quickly gained recognition in the blockchain space, securing $6 million in funding by February 2023, led by Polychain Capital. Now, Cysic is poised to play a crucial role in scaling Ethereum faster by integrating its ZK computing power into Scroll’s Layer 2 network. This integration will significantly speed up the ZK proof generation process, reducing it from hours to minutes, thanks to Cysic’s state-of-the-art GPU servers.

According to Leo Fan, co-founder of Cysic, “By reducing ZK proof generation time, we’re not only advancing Layer 2 scaling but also paving the way for broader blockchain innovation. As the need for faster and more efficient transactions grows, adaptable, high-performance infrastructure is key.”

Scroll’s Growing Ecosystem
Scroll has solidified its position in the Layer 2 ecosystem, with its Total Value Locked (TVL) surpassing $900 million. The platform recently announced plans to airdrop a native token and has been associated with major DeFi projects like World Liberty Financial. Scroll’s decision to integrate Cysic’s infrastructure is aimed at maintaining its high standards of performance and security.

“Partnering with Cysic aligns with Scroll’s mission to offer developers the best tools for creating a fast, secure onchain experience,” said Sandy Peng, co-founder of Scroll. “By continuously improving our technology stack, Cysic strengthens our ZK rollup capabilities, delivering the highest throughput and fastest finality in the market.”

Innovative Hardware Solutions for ZK Rollups
Cysic is developing two groundbreaking hardware products, ZK Air and ZK Pro, both built on its ASIC C1 chip, scheduled for release in 2025. These products are designed to handle high transaction volumes while ensuring top-tier security and speed. By supporting Scroll’s advanced proving techniques, Cysic’s hardware will play a pivotal role in enhancing the platform’s performance.

Community Engagement in Testnet Phase 2
In preparation for its hardware launch, Cysic is inviting community members with significant computing resources to participate in its testnet Phase 2 as provers and verifiers. Participants will have the chance to earn rewards by contributing to this innovative ecosystem.

Conclusion
Cysic’s collaboration with Scroll is a significant development in Ethereum scaling efforts. By integrating advanced hardware solutions, the partnership aims to accelerate Layer 2 performance, paving the way for more efficient and scalable blockchain applications.
